Glaring Reflections: Be aware of bright reflections off the sand and water that can overpower your subject. Compose your shots carefully or use a polarizing filter to cut down the glare. Balancing out bright light with artificial light (like a flash) can also help. Don’t forget a reflector too.

I found this fabulous dress at a thrift store, I repurposed a Elvin headpiece and some jewellery. I also grabbed a scrap piece of tulle to catch the wind.
Pose with Purpose: Utilize the beach’s natural elements. Have your subject sit on a rock formation, walk along the shore, or interact with props like a seashell or a surfboard.
Embrace Spontaneity: The beach is constantly changing. Don’t be afraid to go with the flow and capture candid moments that showcase the joy of the setting.
Fall & Winter: It doesn’t have to be a Summer portrait session either. Rug up and try your hand at some casual beach portraits.
