Follow - up on the Diamonds Workshop

Talk about ending the year on a high note. I think this was one of the best workshops to date, we had so much fun! Seriously. We started with a Red Backdrop for the class Gentlemen Prefer Blondes movie scene, I even snuck Dexter in (with a black bow tie, of course) before everyone turned up for a quick mini shoot. Then we go into things. Our model was again the radiant Jess Larter (no-one does Marilyn like our Jess), HMUA by Teighan from Teighan Lee HMUA.

A perfect morning full of good music, sunshine, and laughter. We changed backdrops three times, experimented with lighting, but honestly, we spent most of the morning throwing things at Jess. Sounds bad, but let me explain.

On the Red Background, we did the classic Marilyn poses (albeit with a pregnant bellyโ€ฆone of the pitfalls of waiting so long to actually have the workshop, our model was 19 weeks pregnant!) We had a whole lot of (fake plastic) diamonds that Jess was throwing and then we were all throwingโ€ฆthen crawling around the floor and collecting, then repeating over and over. We really gave the High-Speed Sync on my lights a good workout

Then we switched to a black backdrop and threw white petals, and then gold coins. Then changed to the white backdrop and playing cards and then some high key photography. So much riotous laughter, it really was a lot of fun.

Here are just a few of my shotsโ€ฆ
