Rock n Roll Dance Party Workshop

Rock n Roll Dance Party Workshop

After what seemed like ages, so many postponements, we finally managed to run the 1950’s Rock n Roll Dance Party Workshop. Our model was Jess Larter (aka Miss Fairy Floss) and makeup was done by Teighan from Teighan Lee HMUA.

Two booked out classes, a morning and an afternoon workshop, the sun was shining and it was a fabulous day. We had the music going, 50s stuff of course, even pulled out the Grease soundtrack album lol.

We concentrated on classic pinup poses with some quirky, hammy props, large ice-cream soda cut-outs, over sized microphones and records. It was then mostly all about lighting. We worked with different lighting, from Rembrandt, Clamshell, Side lighting, cross-lighting and more. Discussed what worked and what didn’t and why. A very informative session, full of tips and tricks.
