Beat the heat

Beat the heat

Beat the heat and still play with photography, but it does need a little prep.

I did this last year with my friend Desley and we had so much fun. I placed several different varieties of flowers in some of those Take Away food containers and covered with water and then placed in the freezer for a few days.

We then took them out and placed on white plates in natural light and captured the details unfold as they melted. If you put a fan on them, they melt quicker and you get a nice breeze, if you put lights on it will melt even quicker.

Grevillea and Roses were great, the Dogwood rose went brown and wilted, but still looks interesting in B&Wโ€ฆand remember grab your Macro lens to capture all the fine ice details!
