Springtime at The Potterage Workshop
Back in May this year I booked out The Potterage in Menzies Creek (Victoria)for a wonderful afternoon of still life, macro and lifestyle photography. I was joined by a wonderful group of people who spent a fabulous three hours creating and capturing all the wonders that at The Potterage, the gardens, the rooms, the quirky collectibles and other fabulous treats. We also had a scrumptious Devonshire Afternoon tea and watched iconic Puffing Billy pass at the back of the property. Here are just a few of the images I captured that afternoon.
It was such a treat and a success, that I thought I would book it again for Spring, the gardens were all just starting to bloom everywhere and The Potterage was no exception.
We were again so lucky to have perfect weather for an afternoon in the warm sunshine, there have been a few new additions at The Potterage, two more bedrooms, a potter’s sink, a new fresco. There is a white wisteria and nasterums and lavender and other flowers as well. The grape vine which had such wonderful colour in Autumn, was just starting to grow grapes. It was so nice to just sit and chat, we had a mini macro class on the terrace in the warm sunshine.
The group finished off by again watching Puffing Billy (train) pass the back of the property, while I laid out afternoon tea, on that wonderful terrace. We ate and sipped tea and coffee and chatted, until it was nearly time to leave. Everyone grabbed their last photos while I cleaned up.
It really has been a treat being able to shoot here twice this year, I hope maybe to do it again in the future.
