Located at the extreme northwestern tip of the Aupouri Peninsula, Cape Reinga is positioned toward the northernmost end of New Zealand’s North Island, making it one of the country’s most northerly points. It is situated roughly 100 km away from the nearest small town of Kaitaia, and about 421 km north of Auckland.
People are often surprised when we travel, by just how much distance we tend to cover in a trip. We are not inclined to sit in one spot and relax, I find I can do that at home. We love to explore and have adventures.
I adore those happy accidents where you discover something magical, a true fortuitous stroke of luck. Rapaura Falls was one such garden. Located near Whatatete Bay on the North Island of New Zealand. and we spent a truly lovely morning wandering the grounds, full of delight and wonder.
